Meet The Founder

Ocean Lilly Otte is a North Shore native with deep roots in Boston's creative and entrepreneurial community. She has spent years curating experiences that merge fashion, wellness, and connection - and building spaces where people genuinely want to gather.
With extensive experience managing small businesses and consulting for upscale boutiques, Ocean dedicated much of her career to helping others bring their visions to life. Before planting roots back in Boston, she spent half a decade in Los Angeles immersed in the world of fashion - studying emerging trends, refining her eye, and doing the kind of soul-searching that shapes a true point of view. That chapter, combined with a lifelong love of travel and exploring the world with her partner, is what gives Élevée its edge. The global influences she collects along the way — in the markets, the neighborhoods, the quiet corners of cities most tourists never find, live in every curated piece on the floor.
Motivated to forge her own path, she launched her first French-inspired pop-up boutique in the heart of Beacon Hill - a warm, sophisticated space known for personalized styling, timeless yet attainable pieces, and an unwavering focus on community. Her vision has always been rooted in inclusivity: spotlighting emerging brands, local designers, and artists who believe that fashion should be both expressive and accessible.
Today, Ocean has taken the next step in her journey - closing her beloved pop-up and opening Élevée's flagship boutique in Boston's vibrant South End. The new space reflects the evolution of her brand: larger, brighter, and designed to be a true destination for both shopping and gathering. With high ceilings, curated displays, and a dedicated event space for wellness classes, workshops, and community experiences, Élevée embodies the elegant yet welcoming spirit that defines Ocean's approach to modern retail.
Driven by her passion for health and wellness and informed by her own lived experience with chronic illness — Ocean introduced her own apothecary line in 2025. Every product is meticulously crafted from organic, non-toxic ingredients and proudly manufactured in the United States. The same intentionality extends to her jewelry line, designed to be fully hypoallergenic, because she believes that feeling good in what you wear should never come at a cost to your body.
But Élevée has always been more than a retail store. It is a community hub. Ocean hosts monthly book clubs and film nights, free and open to all. She actively fundraises for the Boston Food Bank, with an ongoing in-store food pantry drive, and champions causes close to her heart - including the Trevor Project and organizations working toward a more equitable, compassionate world. Though raised on the North Shore of Boston, she has made the South End her home - and Élevée a reflection of everything she believes a neighborhood space should be.
"I have the privilege of doing what I love every day, creating a space for those who seek something more than a transaction. I long for the days when retail was a craft; when the person helping you truly knew their product, understood your lifestyle, and cared about how you felt walking out the door. Whether you're dressing for a moment that matters or building a wardrobe that actually reflects who you are, my goal is simple: you leave feeling better than when you arrived. I believe in relationships over revenue, and transparency over the quick sell. That will never change."
